All homes have a Radon level. The EPA states that a measurement of 4pCi/1 is acceptable (though no level is really safe). A Radon Test takes 48 Hours, using a Sun Nuclear monitor. If your level is 4 or above, a Radon reduction system is in order. {Analytically Certified Measurement Provider}
Health effects of Radon gas equate to smoking. If you live in a house with Radon for 10 years, it's the same as having smoked for 10 years. If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day and live in a house with Radon, it's the same as smoking 40 cigarettes that day! {No Safe Level – below 4 acceptable as per the EPA}
